SAFETY POLICY
Emerald Services assumes the primary responsibility for providing a safe environment for its workforce, its subcontractors, workforce and the public. From a moral standpoint, the greatest return we can expect from an Accident and Injury Prevention Program is the elimination of injury to team members and damage to property. From a financial standpoint, everyone benefits from safety team members, customers and Emerald Services employees alike. Accident/injury prevention and efficient and profitable operations go hand-in-hand.
To achieve our objectives all levels of the organization must participate and contribute to the safety effort.
Management's commitment is to maintain safe working conditions and provide the necessary resources.
The workforces' commitment must be to create a safer and healthier workplace by incorporating safety into their daily work routine. They can do this by:
- Following all company safety rules.
- Exercising common sense in the performance of their work.
- Practicing operating procedures that safeguard both the individual employee, all team members and the public.
- Immediately reporting any unsafe conditions, equipment, machines, tools or acts and practices.
The objectives of Emerald Services Accident and Injury Prevention Program are:
- Provide effective training at all levels.
- Raise safety awareness at all levels.
- Prevent on-the-job injuries.
- Provide safe working conditions.
- Reduce Labor & Industries premiums.
- Comply with OSHA and WISHA Standards.
- Investigate each accident and implement remedies.
