Emerald offers a line of heavy duty, industrial strength recycled cleaners for tough uses, from cleaning paint guns to removing resins and adhesives:
Acetone (HAPS Free) - Special purpose thinner, cleaner and remover; evaporates quickly. A low-boiling, ketone solvent, with a flashpoint well below the freezing point of water.
Emerald Wash - Recycled MEK-based special purpose paint remover and cleaner for oil-based paint guns, rollers/brushes, and airless sprayers as well as tools. Quick drying, leaving no residue. A great replacement for lacquer thinner and paint line flush gun cleaner.
n-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP) (HAPS Free) - A solvent with a good thermal and chemical stability, and a high flash point. It is capable of dissolving resins such as polyamide-imides and epoxies. Ideal for clean outs of tanks, paint lines, and more. The choice for high quality paint strippers, replacing methylene chloride.
Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) - Clear, colorless recycled alternative. Special purpose thinner, cleaner and remover for specified coatings, including polyester and epoxy resins, ink, adhesives & contact cement. Evaporates slower than acetone.
Blends - Custom blends designed and recycled to match the recipe required by our recycle / return customers.
Emerald Services, via distillation, produces a recycled line of regular strength, recycled cleaners for general cleaning applications:
ES-150 Mineral Spirits - Recycled alternative to mineral spirits, the most commonly used parts washer solvent. Great cleaner and degreaser; flash point of 140+ F makes for a safer, higher flash mineral spirits product.
Isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol, "IPA") - Common ingredient of rubbing alcohol and window washing liquids, used as a gentle cleanser.
Rec-Sol - General-purpose version of Emerald Wash. Blend of MEK, toluene and acetone may be used for degreasing, paint preparation, and other cleaning.
